CIPP PVC Pipe Lining

PVC pipe lining system which allows for repair of broken and leaking underground sewer lines without costly and time consuming excavation.

PVC pipe lining allows for the repair of broken and leaking underground pipes without the costly time consuming excavation. Once installed, the lining is continuous from manhole to manhole. This helps eliminate leaking joints, root intrusion, and further damage to the existing host pipe by corrosive sewer gases and chemicals. PVC pipe lining can rehabilitate storm culverts, sanitary and drainage piping from 3″ to 60″ in just a few hours, with minimum disruption to roads, landscaping and the environment. This extremely tough material has sufficient material stiffness to provide full, independent structural integrity along with a high degree of dimensional stability.

PVC pipe lining provides a structural repair without digging the existing pipeline or lining the entire pipeline. A video of the pipe interior is done to determine the suitability and condition of the host pipe. Measurements are taken to determine the amount of material that will be required for the rehabilitation. This is followed by cleaning of the line, if needed,with a high pressure water hose that removes all accumulated build up or silt. The correct diameter liner is selected and made of PVC with polymer additives coating, and cut to the exact measurement determined from the video survey. The liner is heated with steam to make it pliable and folded to reduce its cross-sectional area in order to pull it through the pipe being rehabilitated. Once in place, the pipeliner is heated sufficiently to allow the material to relax and reset the PVC Alloy’s “memory” to the new size and shape of the rehabilitated line. After the pipeliner has properly cooled, pressure is relieved and the ends are trimmed. At this point any lateral service lines are reopened using remote controlled devices, a new TV survey is done of the finished process and the rehabilitated line is placed back into service. The end result is a very smooth, fast flowing pipe, with a 50 + year service expectancy. Installations of approximately 24 million feet have proven that this restoration method is fast, cost effective, and very durable.
